This Johnson & Wales University is a small private university, mainly in Downcity, near Providence, Rhode Island in the north eastern corner of USA. This is a small liberal art university, not 野鸡大学. You need to take SAT and TOEFL tests and submit your scores.. However, if your test score is low, they will admit you on probation - allow you admission, but require you to take ESL and other basic courses - lower than college level courses, so that you can meet the university level requirements. But I think this university is quite expensive.
Your other alternative is to go to a 2 year junior college (or call community college) here in the US first. Then, use this as 为跳板 and transfer to 4 year university.
