澳洲海事学院和UTAS合并
2008年1月1日，澳大利亞海事學院AUSTRALIA MARITIME COLLEGE（AMC）并入澳大利亞塔斯馬尼亞大學 UNIVERSITY OF TASMANIA （UTAS），成為塔斯馬尼亞大學的獨具特色的學院。
AMC澳大利亞海事學院被公認為世界世界知名的海事大學，在該領域享有很高的國際聲譽。塔斯馬尼亞大學海事學院將繼續拓展她作為澳海事相關科目教學科研實踐中心的聲譽，提供包括造船學、海洋工程、海上動力學、海運物流學、海洋科學与技術、水產与海洋資源可持續管理等專業課程。
